What the app stores
Everything in Mise is something you entered or chose: ingredients with their categories, units, stores and notes; recipes with their ingredients, tags, notes and photos; meal plans and the dishes in them; and your settings.

The iCloud column applies only when iCloud is available for Mise. Like other app data, what’s on your iPhone can be part of your own device backups.
iCloud sync
If you’re signed in to iCloud, Mise syncs the data above through Apple’s CloudKit, in the private database of your own iCloud account, so it’s there on your other devices and after a reinstall. It counts toward your iCloud storage.
The developer can’t read this database, and Mise runs no cloud service of its own. Apple stores the data under its own terms and privacy policy.
Dish photos and the camera
You can add a photo to a recipe. The camera opens only when you tap Take photo, and iOS asks for your permission the first time. Choose photo uses Apple’s photo picker, so Mise gets only the photo you pick and can’t reach the rest of your library.
Mise keeps only the square you crop, at most 600 pixels wide, saved as a new JPEG without the original photo’s location or other metadata. It’s stored with the recipe and syncs like the rest of it.
Sharing your list
Share list on the shopping page hands the text of your list to the iOS share sheet. It goes only where you send it.
Ads, analytics and tracking
Mise shows no ads, doesn’t sell your data and doesn’t track you. The app contains no third-party SDKs and no analytics or advertising code, and it doesn’t share what you enter with anyone.
Diagnostics from Apple
If you’ve chosen to share analytics with app developers in your device’s settings, Apple may provide crash reports and usage statistics through its developer tools. They’re used to fix problems and improve reliability. App Store Connect also shows the developer overall numbers such as downloads and sessions.
Your choices
You can edit your ingredients, recipes and plans in the app at any time, and delete ingredients, recipes and plans from today on.
Two things stay on purpose, so your history holds up. Past meals can’t be deleted, only marked done or not done, and a recipe used in a past meal is hidden from your library rather than erased.
To remove everything, open Settings in Mise and tap Delete all data. It clears your ingredients, recipes and plans from this device and from iCloud, and from your other devices on the same iCloud account. Deleting the app only removes its data from that iPhone, and what’s in iCloud comes back if you install it again. To stop syncing only, turn off iCloud for Mise in iOS Settings.
Children
Mise is a general cooking and meal-planning app. It isn’t directed to children and doesn’t knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes
This policy changes when what Mise does with data changes. If a future version adds anything like analytics, ads, accounts or online features, this page will say so before that version ships, and the date at the top will change.
